Shinoda Plasma To Unveil 125-inch Millimeter Thick Plasma Display! - Gizmo Watch: "‘Millimeter’ plasma screens are inarguably the future of display technology. In another giant leap into this fascinating future, Shinoda Plasma has developed a 125-inch film-type prototype display that measures around 1 millimeter and is as flexible as a kimono. The comparison is apt since the curved screen can be wrapped-around and transported with ease. Featuring a 3 x 1 meter plasma tube array (PTA) display that is made up of three 1 x 1 meter square sub-modules seamlessly blended into one another, the plasma screen weighs just 3.6kgs. The display resolution wouldnt let you down either, with 960×360 dots per inch offering you the ultimate viewing experience. The product will be formally unveiled by the company at the InfoComm 2008 Conference in Las Vegas. As a sugar-coating, Shinoda plans to develop a 150inch version as well. If you are heading towards Vegas for a fun-filled summer, do drop in at the InfoComm 2008 for a visual treat.
